About the Florida Trials Association

The Florida Trials Association brings together motorcycle trials riders of all ages and abilities from across Florida. From complete beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced Expert and Champ riders, FTA is built around a shared enjoyment of trials and a friendly, welcoming community.

Trials is a sport where riders compete against the course rather than each other. Our events are challenging, but the atmosphere is relaxed and supportive. Riders regularly help one another, share advice and encourage newcomers — and families, friends and spectators are always welcome.

FTA organizes championship trials and fun events at riding venues around Florida throughout the season. With different classes and difficulty levels available, riders can choose sections appropriate to their experience and progress as their skills and confidence develop.

The association is run by a volunteer Executive Board elected by the membership, together with the many club members who give their time to prepare sections, observe, score and help make our events possible.

New to Trials?

You don’t need previous competition experience to get involved. Come along to an event, watch the action, meet the riders and take a closer look at the bikes. Trials is an excellent spectator sport because you can get close to the sections and see the skill, balance and bike control involved.

If you’re thinking about riding, you’ll find plenty of people willing to answer questions and help you get started. FTA is a friendly, welcoming community where riders support each other, share advice and enjoy the sport together.
