FTA Sign-Up Requirements
Important: All riders must have the appropriate notarized Release and Waiver form on file. Riders cannot participate without the required form. Minor riders require the separate Minor Release form, which must also be notarized. 1. AMA Cards AMA cards are required for Fun in the Sun at Hardrock and Promise Ranch events, including youth riders. If your membership has expired, the necessary AMA paperwork and payment may be completed at the event. Cash, check or credit card is acceptable. If you sign up online with the AMA, please print the completed form and bring it with you. 2. Adult Release Forms Please print and sign your name legibly. If you need additional space after the front is completed, continue on the back. 3. Minor Release Forms For minor competitors, both the parent and minor must complete pages one and two, including all requested information. If the minor’s parents cannot attend, a notarized Power of Attorney authorizing another adult to sign on their behalf is required before the minor can ride. 4. Scorecards Scorecards are issued after the required registration steps have been completed. Before leaving the registration table, make sure you have yours. 5. Finish Report Make sure your name has been added to the Finish Report when you receive your scorecard. 6. Protests If you have a protest, notify the observer or peer scorer at the section so it can be noted. Protests must be submitted in writing to the Club Director, President or Score Keeper. 7. Returning Your Scorecard Check your scorecard after the event, have it signed by the required co-rider observers, and return it to the registration table. If you leave early or cannot finish, please return the card marked “DNF” so organizers know you are safely off the course. 8. Injuries Serious injuries should be reported to the President or Score Keeper. Where AMA notification is required, the FTA Secretary submits the appropriate reports.Regular Season Event Fees
These fees do not apply to Fun in the Sun.- $35 – FTA member adult rider
- $5 – FTA member youth rider, age 17 and under
- $45 – Non-FTA member adult rider
- $10 – Non-FTA member youth rider
- $20 – FTA individual annual membership
- $30 – FTA family annual membership
- $49 – AMA annual membership
Year-End Qualifications
- 4 of 6 events (or 5 of 7 events) count toward the overall Championship position.
- Riders must have two club work credits for helping set up trials, plus one set-up and one observing work credit for Fun in the Sun and National competitions.
